The parador is beautifully sited.
The food in the restaurant was good. The breakfast was excellent.

I have stayed at many Paradors, including new ones. This is the first one that was a disappointment. It is an architecturally uninteresting, large, cold place. The main attraction, the dining room, was closed both days I was there because there was a big party one day and night.
Although I realize I was in Spain and should be responsible for speaking Spanish, my Spanish is not very good. I was surprised that, except for the last morning I was there no one at the front desk spoke any English - or even French.”

“Internet access was poor, even from lobby area. The first several connection numbers they gave us did not work, and nobody knoew how to troubleshoot. Room was very nice, though.”

“Dinner very bad. Breakfast wonderful, room very nice but too dark. Not enough choice on dinner menu - also tried to book time for table - told not necessary, but when came to eat were told to wait for 45 mins for table - as diabetic this was very inconvenient and were forced to have room service for which we had to pay extra charge. Also first night at hotel and looking forward to eating in restaurant. We complained at the time, but were not happy at result.”

THE BREAKFAST CREW IS A MESS. ASK FOR ANYTHING TO RUNNING WAITERS AND YOU ARE TOLD TO WAIT, AND THEY NEVER COME BACK TO YOU. THEY ARE MORE INTERESTED IN CLEARING TABLES, SOMETIMES IN FIGHTING EACH OTHER, THAN IN SERVING CLIENTS. COMPLETE INCOMPETENCE. ALMOST THE SAME WITH DINNER, SO WE ATE THERE ONLY ONCE. RECEPTION IS SLIGHTLY BETTER ORGANIZED, BUT SHOULD JUST BE NAMED ADMINISTRATION AND NOT RECEPTION. WE WILL NOT GO BACK TO THIS PARADOR. AND WE HEARD THAT IT WAS THE BEST!!!”
