The Parador of the historical town of Tui, on the border with Portugal, faithfully reproduces a rural Galician country house, in a setting with mountains and rivers. The location is ideal for outdoor recreation. With its granite walls, Galician chestnut-wood floors, ceilings, beams and staircases, it recreates the decoration of the typical local country houses. The soft shades of the walls and the rustic furniture achieve a friendly and peaceful atmosphere in the comfortable bedrooms. It also has an outdoor swimming pool open in the summer months and a beautiful garden. The restaurant serves a regional cuisine including lamprey and delicious elvers 'a la tudense' (seasonal). A typical dessert is Tarta San Ero. This Parador has a number of room types: double with three beds; king with views; double with living room (2 beds); double with view (2 beds). A minimum board arrangement of accommodation and breakfast is required from 1 July through 31 August. The Parador recently underwent extensive remodeling and renovations.

Notes Tui is a perfect base for exploring the Miño valley. Twenty minutes east of Tui is Ribadavia, with its 11th century Jewish barrio. There are narrow cobblestone streets in this charming village. Local Festivals: Carnaval: February, Tui, Eel festival: 1st Sunday after Easter, San Telm: Easter Sunday, Tui, Easter: Tui. Be sure to see Cathedral, Churches of San Bartolomé, San Francisco and San Telmo in Tui and Valença do Minho (1 km.), Walled Portuguese town on the other side of the Miño.
Golden Days: a 30% discount when at least one person in the room is over 55.
Young Persons Special: €56 per person per night when at least one person in the room is between 20 and 35.

Cancellation Policy:
A deposit equivalent to the first night's stay will be charged at the time of reserving. The remainder will be charged 30 days prior to the check-in date.
Reservations may be cancelled up to 72 hours before your reservation without penalty (Your deposits will be returned to you). If you cancel less than 72 hours before check-in, or in case of "no-show", the one-night deposit will be retained. If you shorten your stay once you have checked-in, the Parador may impose a penalty of one-nights stay.
