The wine cellar is the stand out feature. An evening there alone was worth going for. The paradore itself is very interesting, and the location as with many of the paradors in historic buildings is great.

The car parking arrangements aren't made very clear and we were approached by men purporting to be employed by the Parador to park vehicles and demanding money. Perhaps clearer advice when booking would be helpful. I think this reflects poorly on the hotel. ”

“Unfortunately the hallways and other public areas at plasencia were smokey. Lunch at jaen was typical of our meals at other paradors: very very good, but not outstanding.”
