This contemporary Parador is situated on a cliff overlooking the beach and ocean, with a pleasant lawn complete with chaises and umbrellas where you can feel away from the madding-crowd below. You can choose to swim in the Parador's swimming pool or take the glass elevator/lift down to the beach. The entrance to the building is through a pleasant, spacious garden. There are ninety rooms at this Parador, yet it seems intimate and quiet because of its location and surroundings. It is also conveniently located for exploring the old town. There is a paddle court and tennis court available to guests. The best rooms are the suites, with full sea-views, terrace, living room and spectacular bathrooms. The superior rooms are spacious and bright and most have seaview balconies or direct access to the lawn. The basic rooms are simply furnished yet comfortable. All rooms have full bathrooms, free wifi access, television and minibar. The Parador's common areas are bright and spacious with works of art by well-known contemporary artists Bajola, Belén Comthe and Dario Basso. There are thirteen rooms at ground level with direct access to the lawn, garden and pool (perfect for those travelling with children). The pool is generally open from June to October. This property has a particularly pleasing ambiance: it is a relaxing place to stay and there are special places like the Piano Bar (with live music on weekends) and the outdoor terrace for meals. There is a Tienda shop, as well as business services with staff specially qualified to organize conventions, business meetings or presentations. The dining room (inside and out) features local and traditional cuisine. Please note the SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Minimum half board compulsory in August.

Visit Nerja old quarter, Frigiliana (6 km), old Jewish-Moorish quarter. Activities in the area, golf, swimming, horseback riding, beaches. Explore the two and a half miles of caves in Nerja - with massive marble columns, H R Geiger-like formations and fascinating shaped rocks. Local festivals include Fair: August, Málaga, 55 km., Music Festival: July, Cueva de Nerja, 3 km., San Isidro: 15 May, Nerja, 3 km.

The relaxed feeling in the hotel. The wonderful position of the hotel and the lift facility to the beach. The first bedroom had a drains problem but we were moved without a fuss to another room. There was a good long breakfast time which meant you didn't have to be 'clock watching' in the morning. An excellent break - I could have stayed longer.

“As neither I nor my companion speaks Spanish, we had a hard time communicating with the hotel staff, even in the reception. When I asked about internet access etc., nobody were able to help. Also, at our departure we were presented with a specified bill in Spanish, which naturally made little sense to us. I ended up paying for internet access, even though I had only asked about it, but not been helped! It wasn't expensive - just an example of the language problem.”
