 A stone building in the heart of Sierra de Gredos

The Gredos mountain range has given refuge to this stone building, the first of the Paradores, since 1928, among crystalline waters, wild rocks and green pine groves. Its location, on El Alto del Risquillo, has wonderful views over the Tormes valley, the Gredos massif and the Piedrahita and Béjar mountain ranges, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. Its sturdy stone walls conceal a graceful interior, with fine wood in the dining room, library and living rooms. The granite columns and the Castillian style furniture add to the relaxing ambiance of this Parador. Suites and double rooms with balcony are offered in addition to standard double rooms with either one bed or two beds. There is a children's play area and a tennis court in the garden area. The restaurant's menu features quality meats and local vegetables in a regional cuisine. Minimum two night stay on weekends. Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday from 1 March to 31 October.
