* Views over Malaga: View PDF
Located in old town Malaga, the Parador is surrounded by pine trees on Mount Gibralfaro and faces the Alcazaba, from where it is possible to glimpse the Bay and the city of Málaga from a unique perspective. Constructed from stone alongside the Gibralfaro castle, it has lovely views of the harbour and the town below. It has a delightful patio where you can enjoy outdoor meals in the summer months and tables and chairs overlooking the harbour and town for an early-morning coffee or before-dinner drink. You can comfortably visit old-town Malaga on foot (but there are steps involved). This Parador has a very pleasant ambiance with public spaces, gardens, rooms and the top-floor swimming pool all having beautiful views over the city and the sea. The restaurant serves a good Andalusian cuisine including ‘pescaítos a la malagueña’ There are thirty three twin rooms and five double bedded rooms here - and all have a private balcony. Handicapped accessible rooms are also available and there is free wifi throughout. If you enjoy golf, the facilities of the Malaga Golf Parador are available to you (with tennis courts too). It is possible to get to the Malaga Golf by train from downtown Malaga to Plaza Mayor close to the property and this wouldn't take more than about 15 minutes. You can also drive, but the roads tend to get very busy. Note that there is a considerable discount on the green fees if you are a Parador guest - be sure to ask about this before you book your T times. A hint about getting here from Malaga Airport if you are driving: we highly recommend using a GPS/SATNAV as the streets are narrow and sometimes confusing in the old town. Good old Tom-Tom or Garmin makes life a lot easier.

This was again an excellent parador. our room (403)was spectacular and as requested we had amazing views over Malaga. Our terrace was enormous and had sun loungers as well as a table and chairs. The staff were very helpful at all times especially when I wasn't feeling well and brought me camomile tea when I wasn't able to eat my dinner.

nothing at all

Choice of room (101) was not that much delightful (street in front of the room, not much sight), breakfast was very good, staff most friendly, cleaness was very good, location top. We would recommend your hotel and will certainly come back. Dr. Gaston Schnyder Switzerland

We had a good room the staff were very friendly and helpful they made out short stay at an excellent hotel an enjoyable experience. My one concern is that I completed a form which I handed in to reception to join the'Amigos'and as yet I have heard nothing.

Very nice views and friendly staff. However, the location is so isolated that the hotel restaurant, which was rather expensive was the only option. Also, the waiters didn't seem to understand English at all, and kept bringing us food we didn't order. A larger gift shop, selling snacks and sundries would be nice, given the distance to anything else.

Room was average. Staff not overly helpful. General upkeep of the hotel not good - dirty old carpets in corridors. Restaurant food was SO expensive! Having eaten in the Parador in Santillana, we decided never to eat in a Parador again.

Dinner menu did not change during stay but all other meals and facilites very good

Both lunch and dinner menus could be inproved.

Inconvenient location. Check-in was efficient but reception staff aloof. Dinner was the worst meal we had in Spain. Breakfast buffet too expensive given poor quality and limited selection. Staff unaccommodating. Request to have coffee on terrace refused. Check-out delayed due to billing error. Will never stay at a Parador again.

a little deception about the town and the hôtel, it wasn't typic enought

We were disappointed with our hotel. Although it had a beautiful location & our bedroom was lovely the bored, tired looking & unhelpful staff let it down. Only one waiter smiled at us! Breakfast was good but dinner & service was not up to the standard expected in a parador. The 'deal break'menu was extremely limited. We would not go back.
