The palace-castle lies sheltered in the middle of the Vera and Tiétar valley, between gorges filled with water, woods of chestnut trees and oak groves - a stunning landscap. It once played host to an illustrious guest - Emperor Carlos V. From the exterior the towers, the courtyard, the patio de armas courtyard and swimming pool contrast with the olive and orange trees. Inside the atmosphere is relaxing and intimate. The restaurant serves a regional cuisine including Extremaduran breadcrumbs, mashed paprika potatoes with pork, deep fried suckling pork, goat stew, and as a traditional dessert repápalos (breadcrumb biscuits) with milk and cinnamon. There are nine double bedded rooms and thirty three twin bedded rooms (either standard or superior). Minimum two night stay on weekends from 1 March to 31 October.

Cancellation Policy:
A deposit equivalent to the first night's stay will be charged at the time of reserving. The remainder will be charged 30 days prior to the check-in date.
Reservations may be cancelled up to 72 hours before your reservation without penalty (Your deposits will be returned to you). If you cancel less than 72 hours before check-in, or in case of "no-show", the one-night deposit will be retained. If you shorten your stay once you have checked-in, the Parador may impose a penalty of one-nights stay.

“Sorry, I deleted the other forms not realising there was one for each Parador. Our stays at all three - this one, Tordesillas and Almagro, were generally very good - would have been excellent if there had been 1. No background music in restaurants 2. A little less noise from other guests 3. A swimming pool available all year round - even if it's outdoors! But we had a wonderful time, your booking service is most friendly and helpful, and we hope to visit again before too long. ”
