This modern mountain refuge is located in the foothills of the Picos de Europa and opens on to the Liébana valley. It is surrounded by the dramatic slopes of the Picos de Europa, woods and hillsides, in a region full of hamlets. The building is located at the bottom of the cable car which goes up to the Áliva viewpoint - a wonderful spot for those who enjoy outdoor activities. The style is classic mountain, with warm woods and leather furniture. The restaurant serves traditional Cantabria cuisine, such as 'cocido lebaniego' (stew) or 'solomillo al queso de Tresviso' (sirloin with Tresviso cheese). All the ensuite rooms have either a double or twin beds and include telephone, satellite television, minibar and hairdryer in the bathroom.

Visit Potes (23 km.) Cable car Aliva-Naranjo de Bulnes. The cable car offers access in 3.5 minutes to the foothills of the Picos de Europa. Autumn festivals include Potes, the Cross, the Cattle fair, or the Orujo fair (liqueur). Pilgrimage La Santuca, July 2.
