* A vantage point over the city of the Caliphs: View PDF
In a modern building on the site of the ruins of the summer palace of Abd-ar-Rahman I, and on a hill surrounded by vegetation at the foot of the Cordoba Sierra, the Parador has exceptional panoramic views over the legendary city of the caliphs. The location of the building provides cooling breezes in the heat of summer, and there is a swimming pool in the orange garden making this a perfectly relaxing place. The indoor spaces are elegant and bright with large lounges and spacious bedrooms. The dining room serves typical Cordovan fare - salmorejo tomato soup, white almond gazpacho and churrasco sausage in green sauce. In addition to double rooms with two beds (none with one queen bed), the Parador offers double with Kingsize bed and hydromassage bath, suite, superior room (2 beds) and double with two beds and view. The pool at this Parador closes at 6pm.

This was a fabulous parador and I would recommend it to my friends. The service was wonderful, the room beautiful, and the service was excellent.

My only complaint was that the elevator did not work and there were no porters available at our checkout time to carry our suitcases to our auto - this is not a minor problem.

Wish we could have stayed longer. We also stayed at the parador in Ronda which we also found exceptional.

Lovely hotel, nice staff and fantastic room

Excellent - we wished it was closer to historic section of city.

Liked:
Ed Saler--Beautiful setting--like Sea Ranch in California. Would have liked to have been there for a little time and not just over night. The facility is beautiful and loved our room.
Didn't Like:
El Saler==The dining room was beautiful but the servings were miniscule. I understand they are trying to be upscale but my husband was starving.

Food was good. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was easy to get into town my taxi.
Didn't Like:
We were a bit worried to see the hotel under a major construction project. However, it was a weekend, so there was no activity. The rooms were not well soundproofed.

High standard as usual for a parador - also we left clothing behind which was returned to us by post - what excellent service.

In cities more information of particular events ie The open patios in Cordoba would have helped. The staff were particularly good. The wine waiter also really knew his stuff ! WHY WHY was the pool not open in May ?

Had a hard time finding it - but once there we really enjoyed it

The main problem is that they are not within easy walking distance of town (at least in Cordoba and Carmona) and all towns I visited in Spain had parking problems.

This was located just a bit too far from the center of Cordoba, which is where we wanted to be.

A nice place, but not consistent with our expectations of a traditional Parador
Rating: Good
Frustrating to find out when we arrived that the pool closed at 6:00 and we had just checked in (hot & tired). Didn't open until noon the next day (Sunday). Food in the restaurant was okay, but not great for the price...a bit too expensive for the quality
Rating: Good
Staff were not as friendly as the other Paradors

A modern hotel, did not have the atmosphere we expected from a Parador. Very inconvenient location for sightseeing, located in an affluent suburb. If we visit Cordoba again, we will probably reserve a hotel in the older part of the city, as not to miss any of the charm.

A bit disappointing the pool wasnt open or even the gardens around the temperature was excess of 30 degrees end of April.
Rating: Average
The staff did not speak any English and were not helpful, we had to question the bill because they did not give us credit for the amount we paid to your company (it was resolved to our satisfaction). The restaurant was not satisfactory.

Paradors were a disapointment compared to privately operated hotels
Rating: Poor
the room assigned to us was over the kitchen waste disposal and delivery area also reception was very slow and a bit dismissive although after suggestine that we pay extra did provide us with a much better room
Rating: Poor
swimming pool was closed, temperature outside 34 degrees!!! Our children were very disappointed.

Did not stay in Cordoba We did stay in Toledo and found the view quite spectacular, but rather hard to get to town.
