Located on the banks of the Guadalete, this Parador, formerly the Casa del Corregidor, has an impressive panoramic view of the fertile plain of the river and of the old part of Arcos de la Frontera. It is an ideal starting point to begin the Wine and White Villages Routes, especially Jerez de la Frontera and the fighting bull ranches. The bedrooms with balconies offer magnificent views of Arcos, and inside the typical Andalusian courtyard is joined by traditional decorative elements such as latticework and ceramic tiles. Wooden beams, rugs and round arches complete the decoration of the Parador. In a friendly atmosphere the restaurant offers the characteristic dishes of the Sierra region, the fish dish 'urta roteña', bull's tail or the tempting sampling menu with eleven dishes to savour. In addition to double rooms, there are also double rooms with balcony available. Minimum stay 3 nights with full board over Easter. Please note that parking is extremely difficult at this Parador. The location is on the main square and parking is outside the Parador (but does not belong to the Parador). At busy times you may have to wait for a space to become available. The road around the square is very narrow and congested and, if you are driving a larger car, can be quite hair-raising. Several of our clients have asked us to point this out. If you can leave your car outside the town, and walk or take a taxi in, you will have a more restful stay.

The website mentioned that getting there was a challenge; it was hair-raising. How my car fit through some of those spots still amazes me!

The whole package - the room, bathroom, the restaurant, the staff and the position. All excellent. Some (1) reception staff could be a little more cheerful
Didn't Like:
Road access - we would have liked to be more prepared for this. We had a "Smoking" Room - without being asked

This is the most magical parador we visited. It is part of the old town and on the edge of a cliff. Brilliant views from our room. Great room and food.

Front desk assistance was excellent given your challenging parking situation. He took care of any sar shuffling that had to occur. Particularly liked the Andalucian tasting menu concept you offered and the food was excellent.

The only thing I didn't like were the random men outside(who were not associated with the Parador) directing parking and the expectation of payment. Other than that we had a wonderful stay and would have loved to stay longer!

The room and bathroom are showing their age. Getting there and getting out are not for the faint of heart.

the amazing location and wonderful cheerful front of house staff.
Didn't Like:
the prices in the restaurant, poor food overall, the wine mark up was huge we had Vina Sol which is about 4.50 in the supermarket, in your Parador please check the price yourself how enormously expensive you made it! four times the amount if I recall. An unfriendly bar man also waiters, awful.

The parking situation was very bad, as I stated above. There should be assigned parking spaces reserved for the guests.
